The Ottawa Pastoral Care Training Program is offering its Spring 2026 10-week Basic Course in Pastoral Care, designed for people who want to grow in compassionate, thoughtful, and practical care for others. This foundational course equips participants with core pastoral care skills, grounded in attentive listening, self-awareness, and respectful engagement with people facing life’s challenges.
Running weekly from March 9 to May 11, 2026 (including Easter Monday), the course is offered in two formats to support different schedules: in-person in Ottawa from 1:00–3:30 pm, or online via Zoom from 7:00–9:15 pm. Courses, events, and workshops fill quickly, and minimum enrolment is required, so early registration is encouraged. This course is well suited for lay leaders, volunteers, clergy, and anyone involved in caregiving or community support who wants to strengthen their pastoral presence and confidence.
