This national conference is hosted by Canadian Association for Spiritual Care / Association canadienne de soins spirituels (CASC/ACSS) and brings together practitioners, educators, researchers, and students from across Canada and beyond. Under the theme Thresholds of Transformation: Spiritual Health in the Age of Innovation, the conference will focus on how spiritual care is evolving in response to technological change, ecological crisis, shifting communities, and new understandings of health and healing.
The organizers describe the conference as a space for learning, connection, and discernment at a time when spiritual care is crossing important thresholds. Participants can expect plenary sessions, workshops, and poster presentations that engage topics such as spiritual resilience, eco-spirituality, innovation and equity in care, grief in digital contexts, community formation, and practices for cultivating sacred space in an always-connected world.
The conference will be hosted in Ottawa by the Ontario North and East Region (ONE), with the Brookstreet Hotel serving as the conference venue and host hotel. A dedicated room block will be available for registered participants, with booking details provided after registration opens.
CASC/ACSS is also inviting workshop abstracts and research poster submissions that align with the conference theme, offering participants the opportunity to share practice-based wisdom, innovation, and research with colleagues from across the country.
