2026 30th Anniversary Conference: Longing for Home – The Prophetic Witness of Henri Nouwen in a Wounded World

To mark the 30th anniversary of Henri Nouwen’s death, this special conference gathers scholars, spiritual leaders, and readers from around the world to celebrate his enduring influence. Centered on the theme “Longing for Home: The Prophetic Witness of Henri Nouwen in a Wounded World,” the event will explore how Nouwen’s writings continue to illuminate paths of healing, compassion, and hope amid today’s social, political, and spiritual challenges.
Hosted at St. Michael’s College, University of Toronto, the conference will feature keynote addresses, workshops, and seminars on topics including Spirituality and Theology, Art and Culture, Ministry and Caregiving, and Global Challenges.

Gabrielle Earnshaw – Founding archivist of the Henri J.M. Nouwen Archives and author of an upcoming Nouwen biography
