Presented as the Opening Lecture of the Toronto School of Theology Annual Conference
How can theology help us understand and respond to the complexities of our world today? What insights might emerge when we engage theological questions through perspectives shaped by different cultural, social, and historical contexts?
Join the Toronto School of Theology (TST) for the opening lecture of its Annual Conference, “How Does Theology Respond to a Complex World? A South African Perspective,” featuring Dr. Ernst M. Conradie, Senior Professor of Systematic Theology and Ethics at the University of the Western Cape in South Africa.
Dr. Conradie will bring a South African perspective to the conversation, inviting reflection on the role of theology in engaging with the challenges and realities of contemporary life.
The lecture will also feature a response from Dr. HyeRan Kim-Cragg, Principal of Emmanuel College and Timothy Eaton Memorial Church Professor of Preaching, offering an additional theological perspective.
A reception will follow the lecture, providing an opportunity for conversation and connection.
