Join preachers, theologians, ministry leaders, students, and thoughtful communicators from across Canada and beyond for one of the country’s premier ecumenical preaching conferences. Held in Toronto, the Lester Randall Preaching Fellowship offers two and a half days of preaching, worship, mentorship, learning, and renewal for all who care deeply about faithful proclamation.
This year’s theme, Preaching Jesus Christ, invites participants to reflect on the heart of Christian preaching in today’s complex and changing world. How do we proclaim Christ faithfully in a pluralistic culture? How do we preach resurrection hope amid uncertainty, division, and suffering? What does it mean to preach Jesus Christ with theological depth, pastoral wisdom, and prophetic imagination?
Through keynote lectures, workshops, worship, and preaching sessions, LRPF 2026 will explore how preaching can bear witness to the living Christ in ways that are faithful, compelling, and deeply rooted in Scripture.
The 2026 gathering features an outstanding lineup of keynote speakers:
Craig Barnes — President Emeritus of Princeton Theological Seminary, pastor, preacher, and theologian known for helping preachers engage Scripture with theological depth and pastoral clarity.
John Bell — Hymnwriter, theologian, and minister of the Church of Scotland whose work with the Iona Community has shaped worship and proclamation around the world.
Teresa L. Fry Brown — Bandy Professor of Preaching at Candler School of Theology, Emory University, and a leading voice in homiletics, womanist theology, and Black church studies.
Participants can also expect workshops, small-group learning, mentorship opportunities, worship gatherings, and rich conversations with fellow ministry leaders from a wide range of traditions and contexts.
