Peet Ministry Training

  • Ministry Forum at Knox College Saint George Street Toronto, ON, Canada (map)

This four-week, interactive, learn-by-doing Peer Ministry Training Webinar will equip participants with the abilities needed to lead young people in learning and expanding their faith with doable, livable and repeatable relational skills. Learning to teach these skills requires relational skill practice. Expect fun interactions and discussions as a group as well as practicing skills with a partner in breakout rooms. You will need the Peer Ministry facilitators manual, which is the core curriculum you will use. But the most important resource is YOU! Your life, your modeling and mentoring relational skills will be the real curriculum. (Youth always know when they are being taught from just a manual.) Relational skills teach youth that faith is lived every day, everywhere and in every relationship! The webinar will be facilitated by Lyle Griner, Director of Peer Ministry Leadership.

TUESDAYS: February 11, 18, 25 & March 4, 2025
1:00 p.m. — 2:30 p.m. ET

February 11: Peer Ministry – Asking
February 18: Peer Ministry – Listening
February 25: Peer Ministry – Helping
March 4: Peer Ministry – Inviting

In your church, youth can use relational skills to understand faith as an active lens for loving every neighbor, lead small groups, invite and welcome others, be aware and know how to care for needs in the group, and be available for mentoring style conversations.

In your community, youth can use their skills on a team, at school, in their neighborhood, with work friends as well as in their families.
