The Future of Innovation: From Research to Shared Discernment

What does faithful innovation look like in a rapidly changing church landscape? And how might we discern what is truly emerging, rather than simply reacting to change?

Hosted by the MacRae Centre for Christian Faith and Culture, this 90-minute online gathering invites ministry leaders from across Canada into a shared process of reflection, listening, and discernment. Building on months of research into the future of innovation in Canadian Christian contexts, this event shifts from presenting findings to engaging them together.

Rather than offering fixed conclusions, participants will be invited into guided small-group conversations that explore real signals of change shaping ministry today. This is a space to step back from the pressures of day-to-day leadership and engage in deeper theological sensemaking alongside peers from a wide range of ministry settings.

Together, participants will reflect on what is changing in their contexts, where current approaches may be reaching their limits, and what faithful next steps might look like in response.

This is not about quick solutions or adopting the latest trend. It is about cultivating attentiveness—to God, to context, and to one another—so that innovation remains grounded in faithfulness rather than urgency.
