“To Faithfully Evolve..."

How can the Church faithfully respond to the challenges of our time? What can historically marginalized communities teach us about healing, justice, and discipleship?

The Gathering of Baptists invites participants to a one-day conference exploring these questions through the theme "To Faithfully Evolve...". Taking place in person at MacNeill Baptist Church in Hamilton and online, this event brings together a diverse group of speakers who will share insights from their lived experience and ministry.

Throughout the day, participants will hear presentations from Indigenous leader The Venerable Valerie Kerr, Rev. Dr. Brian Henderson on LGBTQ+ inclusion, Rev. Dr. Clifford Matthews Jr. on the Black Church, Karen Turner on creation care, Rev. LeeAnn McKenna on peacebuilding, Rev. Robert Bond on psychospiritual care, and Rev. Brent Helwig, who will conclude the gathering with a message of hope and transformation.

Rooted in the conviction that the Church is continually called to grow in faithfulness, this gathering offers space to listen deeply, wrestle honestly with difficult questions, and imagine new possibilities for ministry together.
