Let’s Talk: How Do YOU feel about Technology & Ministry?
This week, we’re talking about AI and the church - sine it feels like everyone and their uncle is talking about it right now in the world of ministry and leadership - check out this post here where John reflects on the FLOOD of content around this topic in his inbox. There’s no question AI is everywhere… and there’s a lot to be curious about. But amid the flood of “use this!” and “try that!” messages, we want to pause and ask something simpler—and, we think, more important:
What’s really going on in your ministry right now?
How are you engaging with technology?
What tools have you adopted—or deliberately avoided?
Are you feeling excited? Cautious? Overwhelmed? Hopeful?
What boundaries have you set around digital tools, and why?
What do you wish others knew about your context—whether you’re serving solo in a rural congregation, leading a diverse urban team, pastoring an aging church, or navigating rapid growth?
We’re not asking you to download another app or attend another webinar (unless you want to!). We’re asking you to share your story.
Here’s how to join the conversation:
Drop a comment below this post.
Respond on social media (we’ll be sharing this same invitation there).
Send us an email if you’d prefer a longer or more personal reflection.
We’re starting this dialogue now and continuing it throughout the year. What we gather will shape how we think, what resources we highlight, and how we support each other. So whether you’re experimenting with AI or resisting it altogether, we want to hear from you. Because ministry is not about keeping up with what’s new—it’s about staying connected to what’s real: the people you serve, the calling you’ve received, and the Gospel you proclaim!
