Faith Matters Network is a womanist-centered organization dedicated to empowering spiritually grounded leaders, social activists, and community organizers to pursue social justice and personal well-being. Through programs built on principles of spiritual sustainability, connection, and accompaniment, Faith Matters Network offers resources, coaching, and cohort-based learning to cultivate resilient leadership among those addressing societal injustices.
Key Programs and Offerings
Learning Journeys – A cohort-based program where spiritual leaders undertake one- to two-year journeys focusing on pressing issues in their local contexts. These experiences aim to foster lasting connections and inspire transformational leadership.
Movement Chaplaincy – A 12-week training and ongoing support for individuals seeking to integrate chaplaincy with social justice work. This program provides holistic spiritual care to those working in justice movements, offering seasonal webinars, courses, and credit options for academic participants.
Spiritual Innovation – An initiative investing in emerging Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) leaders, especially Black women. It includes financial support, mentorship, and coaching to elevate these leaders in reshaping systemic structures through spirituality-driven leadership.
Faith Matters Network envisions a society rooted in spiritual care, healing justice, and the dismantling of oppressive systems, encouraging leaders to sustain themselves and their communities.
