Founded in 2017 as a grassroots response to the lack of representation in Baptist churches and seminaries, Nevertheless She Preached has become a nationally recognized nonprofit platform elevating marginalized voices in religious life. Originating in Waco, Texas, and launched with small donations and big faith, NSP has grown into a powerful collective that holds space for those seeking justice, community, and spiritual renewal.

The heart of NSP is its annual conference—an experience that blends theological depth with radical inclusion. It features prominent female, queer, and BIPOC faith leaders who speak from the margins and offer liberationist theology, cultural critique, and practical ministry insight. NSP also offers cohort-based learning, an immersive retreat, and monthly gatherings designed for faith leaders reimagining ministry, church, and preaching through rest and communal care.

Highlights include:

  • Annual conference featuring liberationist theology and transformative preaching

  • Monthly cohort programs beginning September 2025 (applications due May 30)

  • Resources and peer support for ministers and activists
