Opening Doors to Discipleship
Opening Doors to Discipleship is a web-based training tool for anyone involved in Christian education and discipleship leadership within the church. Designed with both beginners and seasoned leaders in mind, the platform offers three core learning tracks: Educational Leadership, Reformed Theology, and Teaching Practices. Each section is broken into approachable, organized modules designed to support individual or group learning. The content is rooted in Reformed tradition and is shaped by current questions about inclusive and effective discipleship today.
Topics range from how to support volunteers and evaluate curriculum to exploring Black liberation and queer theology from a Reformed perspective. There is no registration fee, and the format is self-paced. While it's hosted by Presbyterian leaders, the practical focus and theological depth make it useful in a wide range of Protestant settings.
The site also includes a growing library of additional materials focused on ministry with children, youth, older adults, and intergenerational communities. It’s a flexible tool that adapts to different sizes, experiences, and rhythms of church life.
