Partnership for ReNEWal
Partnership for ReNEWal is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting churches as they navigate modern challenges in attendance, financial sustainability, community engagement, and ministry effectiveness. PfR offers a mission-first approach that helps congregations focus on serving others by discovering and embracing their divine purpose, creating actionable ministry plans, and establishing sustainable models for growth and vitality.
PfR’s consulting process is collaborative and transformational, guiding churches through tailored programs that clarify core values, identify unique gifts, and inspire joyful, mission-focused church life. Grounded in theology, PfR’s work is aimed at creating effective, evangelistic, and resilient congregations through servant-leadership development, stewardship as ministry, and growth strategies.
Key Programs and Phases
Phase 1: This initial phase focuses on internal alignment and mission discernment through core values identification, servant-leadership training, and evangelism as a spiritual practice. It also includes the Stewardship of the Entirety of Our Lives (SEOL) curriculum, which reshapes the approach to church stewardship, and the creation of a Divine Purpose statement that clarifies each church’s unique mission.
Phase 2: This phase involves congregational engagement, allowing church members of all ages to participate in spiritual gifts assessments and identify how these gifts align with the church’s mission and ministries. This helps congregations realize and channel their collective talents towards their shared divine purpose.
Years 2 & 3: PfR offers ongoing support to help churches maintain and nurture their growth through annual retreats, vision refinement, and new member orientation.
Additional Workshops
PfR also provides workshops tailored to specific needs, such as Missional Budget Development, which focuses on aligning budgets with ministry priorities, and Mission in the Local Context, which explores harmonizing a church’s mission with its local demographic realities. Other workshops include New Ministry Startup, How to Talk to People About Money, and Grantwriting Basics, each providing practical tools to support leadership and mission.
