Practicing the Way is a formation platform built to help people actually live the way of Jesus , especially if they’re tired, distracted, spiritually dry, or overwhelmed by the constant pressure to do more. It gives you just enough structure to start (and keep going), while stripping away the performative expectations that often come with modern spirituality. The goal is building a way of life where prayer, Scripture, and discipleship become realistic rhythms that form you over time.

The content is organized around nine core practices—Sabbath, prayer, fasting, solitude, generosity, Scripture, community, service, and witness—and it includes simple “on ramps” so individuals, small groups, or whole churches can begin without needing a spiritual formation expert on staff. If you’re leading a congregation, this is especially useful when you want to give people shared language and a shared pathway (without turning it into a program).

Alongside the practices, there are tools like a Spiritual Health Reflection, a Rule of Life Builder (to help people build a personal set of Jesus-centered rhythms that actually fit their real life), and Table Conversations you can drop into a small group or leadership meeting.

There are also multiple podcast resources (see below)

If your community needs a clear, grounded, ancient-meets-modern framework for prayer and devotion that doesn’t feel like “one more devotional,” this is a strong option.
