Wild Goose Publications & Resources
The Wild Goose Resource Group (WGRG) and Wild Goose Publications, both initiatives of the Iona Community, aim to equip, resource, and inspire individuals and congregations in their pursuit of justice and peace through creative and participatory worship. These resources provide innovative ways to engage with faith and address contemporary issues, making them invaluable for ministry leaders seeking fresh approaches to worship and community action.
About the Wild Goose Resource Group
Based in Glasgow, the Wild Goose Resource Group is dedicated to developing new forms of worship that are relevant, contextual, and participatory. The team includes Jo Love, Jane Bentley, Iain McLarty, Iona Kimmitt, and Gail Ullrich. Founded over 30 years ago by John L. Bell and Graham Maule, the group has a longstanding tradition of producing songs, liturgies, and recordings that have been used and broadcast globally.
The WGRG’s work connects worship with real-world issues, encouraging curiosity and critical thinking about the status quo. This approach helps participants imagine alternative possibilities in ecclesiastical, liturgical, social, and political contexts. Ministry leaders can benefit from WGRG's workshops, seminars, liturgies, and singing events designed to foster engagement and reflection.
Wild Goose Publications
Wild Goose Publications is the publishing arm of the Iona Community, offering a wide range of books and e-resources that complement the work of the Wild Goose Resource Group. These resources include collections of songs, liturgies, and theological reflections that are designed to support dynamic and justice-oriented worship practices. They are available for purchase or download, making it easy for ministry leaders to access and integrate them into their own contexts.
Prayer and Worship
Joining the Iona Community in worship offers a unique experience of daily worship patterns that reflect communal life and commitment to justice and peace. Resources from the WGRG and Wild Goose Publications help bring this spirit of worship into local settings, encouraging ministry leaders to create worship experiences that are both profound and accessible.
Common Concerns
The Iona Community is an ecumenical movement engaged in prayer, reflection, and action for justice and peace.
