This course is a part of the Transitional Ministry Education Consortium (TMEC) offerings for transitional ministry education. This course qualifies as Part 1 of Interim Training. It is a prerequisite for taking Part 2 and meets the standards of both TMEC and the Interim Ministry Network (IMN).
You will learn how to effectively engage a congregation in an intentional change process, whether it is change in leadership or change in mission and ministry. You will integrate systems analysis and theory, frameworks for change, and frameworks for approaching conflict to guide your congregation through transition.
This course exceeds denominational standards for Interim/Transitional Ministry Education and awards 4 CEUs to students seeking Continuing Education credits. The certificate meets The Diamond Standard for CEU Certification™ for religious, social, and civic professionals.

Weekly Live Sessions: Our team hosts Zoom sessions each Thursday, from 11-2:30 ET, beginning February 5, 2026 until March 19th.
Hybrid Online Course Format:This course combines weekly synchronous Zoom sessions with self-paced, asynchronous learning experiences.
