Certificate in Conflict Management and Congregational Leadership at Conrad Grebel
The Conflict Management Certificate Program at Conrad Grebel University College (University of Waterloo) offers in-depth, skills-based workshops to equip leaders with tools for navigating disputes, fostering reconciliation, and sustaining healthy communities. Launched in 1998, the program combines practical training with transformative theory, emphasizing relational health and organizational resilience.
Participants can pursue two primary paths:
Conflict Management & Mediation Certificate: A broad stream designed for workplace, family, and community settings, with recognition by the ADR Institute of Ontario.
Core Workshops Include:
Conflict Management & Congregational Leadership Certificate: A focused track tailored to clergy, lay leaders, and faith-based organizations. Workshops in this stream address leadership during seasons of change, conflict coaching, and biblical frameworks for peaceable congregations.
Both programs are flexible, offering online synchronous and in-person options, and can be completed over time. Workshops draw on the expertise of seasoned practitioners and educators from Canada’s oldest Peace and Conflict Studies program.
