Worship Playground
This event is the culmination of a year of playful study. Last year, Sarah Travis received a grant from the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship to study worship and playful theologies. One of the goals of that project was to offer a day of rest and connection to local faith leaders. Come and play!
Lay Preaching Workshop with Dr. Sarah Travis
This is a day for leaders in local congregations to learn more about preaching. You don’t need to be an ordained minister to preach! God speaks through all of us, and this is a day to learn how to study scripture, craft your message, and deliver a sermon. The Rev. Dr. Sarah Travis of Knox College will be teaching this workshop.
Unsettling Worship Book Conversation
This just in: Join Rev. Dr. Sarah Travis and members of her advisory committee to discuss her latest book, "Unsettling Worship: Reforming Liturgy for Right Relations with Indigenous Communities." On November 2 at 1 PM EST on Zoom, you're invited to be part of the conversation about decolonizing worship and creating new possibilities.
