Resources for Legacy Planning and Retirement

We recently added a small collection of resources to the Ministry Forum Resource Hub focused on legacy and retirement planning.

This is an area where, to be honest, resources have been little harder to come by, and we’re aware that what we’ve gathered is just a starting point.

If you’ve come across something helpful (a book, a checklist, a planning tool, a wise word from a colleague, or even something you’ve created yourself!), we would invite you to share it in the comments of this post ⬇️. Your contribution could be a real gift to others in the Ministry Forum community who are beginning to think about, or are already navigating, this season of transition.

What we were able to find includes several toolkits, checklists, and guides developed by different denominations. As you explore them, it’s worth noting that some elements are shaped by diverse denominational contexts, but the majority of the insights are helpful regardless of denomination or even ministry context.

Things like how to leave well, how to set others up for success, how to approach the transition of leadership with care and intention, and how to maintain spiritual practice outside of your job.
