Geeze Magazine
Geez is a seasonal, nonprofit, ad-free print magazine rooted in Christianity and deeply critical of how faith is entangled with consumerism, capitalism, and power. Founded in Canada and now operating across Canada and the U.S., Geez exists for people who feel over-churched, out-churched, un-churched, or simply restless with inherited forms of faith. Its core work is storytelling—long-form essays, poetry, visual art, and reflection that name injustice honestly while also pointing toward hope, beauty, and resistance alive in local communities.
For ministry leaders, Geez can function as a conversation starter, a theological provocation, or a pastoral companion for those wrestling with faith, justice, and institutional church life. Articles often work well for adult education groups, leadership reflection, preaching inspiration, or personal formation - especially when engaging themes like decolonization, environmental justice, racial justice, gender, and peacemaking. Geez intentionally chooses print over digital as a way of slowing down, resisting distraction, and engaging faith with the whole body, not just the intellect .
