Homebrewed Christianity

Homebrewed Christianity is a podcast and platform created by theologian and philosopher Tripp Fuller, designed to make rigorous theology accessible without watering it down. The tone is informal, curious, and often humorous, but the content itself is deeply engaged with scripture, church history, philosophy, and contemporary cultural challenges.

Episodes regularly feature well-known theologians, biblical scholars, historians, pastors, and public intellectuals (including voices like Diana Butler Bass, Brian McLaren, N.T. Wright, Drew Hart, Andy Root, and many others). Topics range widely—Christian nationalism, economics and empire, worship and liturgy, biblical interpretation, process theology, race and justice, political power, grief, doubt, and what it means to lead communities of faith in a fragmented world.

For ministry leaders, Homebrewed Christianity is especially useful as a thinking partner:

  • Hear how other pastors and theologians are naming what feels hard to articulate in their own context

  • Stay grounded theologically while engaging current events, politics, and cultural shifts

  • Bring depth to preaching, teaching, and adult education without defaulting to “churchy” language

  • Model curiosity, humility, and intellectual honesty for congregations

In addition to the podcast, Tripp Fuller hosts Theology Beer Camp, a unique three-day conference that brings together of theology nerds and craft beer for a blend of intellectual engagement, community building, and fun. The conference usually features a lineup of well-known podcasters, scholars, and theology enthusiasts who come together to "nerd out" on theological topics while enjoying loads of fun activities.
