These programs are designed to support caregivers in using music effectively to decrease agitation, increase social engagement, reduce isolation, and support relational connections. Music Care leverages the natural, inclusive, and complementary benefits of music to support other therapeutic modalities and promote active, soothing experiences across various care settings, including those for individuals with dementia and in community-based environments. The need for music care is driven by factors such as the aging baby boomer population, increasing rates of dementia, a shift towards person-centered care models, and the growing prevalence of social isolation and loneliness.
