Called To Serve
Called to Serve documents and amplifies the voices of ordained Atlantic Baptist women, inviting listeners into stories of faith, perseverance, and pastoral calling. Through interviews and reflective storytelling, the podcast highlights the journeys of women who have served in Baptist churches across Atlantic Canada from 1954–2024.
The project functions as both an oral history archive and a living conversation—preserving historical memory while addressing ongoing questions about vocation, gender, and ministry. Supported by grant funding and housed at Acadia Divinity College, the team works across Canada to gather, curate, and share these testimonies for both the church and the academy.
Now in Season 6, the podcast features engaging episodes that connect deeply with women leaders and anyone discerning a call to ministry. A companion book, expanding on the interviews and research findings, is set to be released soon.
